SimuroSot

Simulating robot soccer games means focussing on game strategy and artificial intelligence while not having to deal with sensors, vision, mechanics etc. SimuroSot consists of a server which has the soccer game environments (playground, robots, score board, etc.) and two client programs with the game strategies. A 3D color graphic screen displays the match. Teams can make their own strategies and compete with each other without hardware. The 3D simulation platform for 5 vs 5 and 11 vs 11 games are available at FIRA web site.

Robot size:around 1 Kilobyte / 14 x 14 pixel (Middle League) or 10 x 10 pixel (Large League)
Control:fully autonomous (although the robot doesn't exist)
Vision:provided by the simulation system that takes obstacles and physics into account
Number of robots:5 vs 5 (Middle League), 11 vs 11 (Large League)
Playing field:434 x 378 pixel (Middle League), 1130 x 788 pixel (Large League)
Ball:An orange golf ball with a diameter of 7 (Middle League) or 5 (Large League) pixels
Typical robot electronics:C++ code
